  • 03 Sep 2015 - KABUL In the last of a series of three meetings to examine the role of United Nations entities in Afghanistan, senior Government and UN officials, along with representatives from the international donor community, met in Kabul today.
  • 24 Aug 2015 - KABUL UNAMA condemns in the strongest terms yesterday’s suicide attack in the Macorayan area of Kabul city that killed 12 and injured at least 88 others, including 13 children and 21 women. The attack was carried out on a crowded street, during rush hour and in front of a private hospital causing extensive damage to homes and property. It targeted a convoy from the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission, killing three contractors.
  • 08 Aug 2015 - KABUL Three attacks by Anti-Government Elements in Kabul on 7 August caused at least 355 civilian casualties – 42 deaths and 313 injured – the highest number of civilians killed and injured in one day since the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) began systematically recording civilian casualties in 2009. The attacks also caused extensive damage to civilian homes and property.
