PAKTYA - At least 24 midwives will be deployed in remote areas of Paktya province to provide basic health services to people living in places where government services are barely available.

Dr Nazdana, provincial Director of Health Department, said the deployment of the additional midwives would be started very soon which will improve the delivery of health services in remote areas of the province.

Maleeha, a midwife said, “This is our country, we will serve our people whether it is in Gardez or in rural areas of the province and I request our government to ensure our security.”
