KABUL, 19 May 2011 – The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) is deeply concerned about recent events in Taluqan city, Takhar province that resulted in deaths and injuries to civilians.
18 May 2011 - A $12 million customs facility officially opened in Takhar province along Afghanistan’s northeastern border with Tajikistan.
11 May 2011 – The continuing campaign to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS has moved to Afghanistan’s regions. Last week in Kunduz about fifty girls graduated from a four-day HIV/AIDS awareness workshop.
03 May 2011 – One of the most volatile and dangerous regions for news-reporting celebrated World Press Freedom Day with an exhibit of photos. The photos were of war photography and shots of everyday life.
11 May 2011 – The independent anti-corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (MEC) held its inauguration ceremony today in Kabul.
17 May 2011- UNAMA is proud to announce a call for entries into the "Kabul, I Love You" film project.
