NANGARHAR - Gul Agha Shirzai, provincial governor of Nangarhar met with Peter Graff, Special Advisor to the Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), accompanied by the Head of Field Coordination Unit and Governance Officer of UNAMA country office.

At the meeting, while Nahid Abuakar, head of eastern regional office of UNAMA and Hikmatullah Sial Political Affairs Officer were present, provincial governor briefed them about the current situation and suggested that UNAMA should play direct role in the upcoming election.

Provincial governor thanked UNAMA for it's valuable work and has asked UN to continue it’s humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan.

Peter Graff has praised the efforts of Nangarhar’s provincial administration in ensuring good governance.
