KHOST - Security officials burnt hundreds of kilogrammes of narcotics seized in various operations in Khost province yesterday, local officials said.

The provincial police chief General Sardar Mohammad Zazai, said 569 litres alcohol, 42 kilogrammes of hashish, 300 kilogrammes of alcoholic solution and some opium were seized by the counter-narcotics police and later incinerated.

Forty men arrested in these operations are in police custody and have been introduced to the prosecutor’s office, said Gen. Zazai added.
