KANDAHAR - Thousands of youth participated in a kite flying event in Ayno Mena area of Kandahar city on Friday. The kite flying event was organized to welcome the Afghan New Year that falls on 21 March.

The event, which continued till late night, was sponsored by the Afghan Wireless Mobile Company (AWCC) office in Kandahar.

It was the first time that there was such a high turnout of youth in a kite flying event.
