KANDAHAR: Suicide bombing is not allowed in Islam: Ulamas in Kandahar

KANDAHAR - The religious scholars in Kandahar declared the suicide attacks as “Haram” based on the Quranic guideline and verses.

This was stated by the ulamas in a gathering at Kandahar ulama shura office.

All the scholars explained, through verses and Hadith of Prophet Mohammad, suicide attacks are not permitted in Islam and those who commit such act, will go directly to hell.

“It is clearly stated in the holy Quran and in the Hadith that suicide is not allowed in Islam and whoever commits such action will go to hell. There are still elements, who carry out such attacks on the directives of others and kill and injure our innocent civilians,” stated Maulwai Bashir Ahmad, the acting head of ulama Council in Kandahar.

The holy Quran is a comprehensive way of life and a complete guideline for Muslims and we have to follow these guidelines. In Islamic countries, like Saudi Arabia, ulamas have already issued “fatwa” that suicide attacks are prohibited in Islam.

“If someone kills another Muslim brother, it is the same like killing the whole of humanity,” stated the ulama speakers.

The Afghanistan ulama shura has already issued several fatwas declaring suicide bombing is prohibited in Islam.
