Kabul mural commemorates journalists killed in Afghanistan

KABULA mural commemorating journalists killed in Afghanistan has been painted on a blast wall in downtown Kabul.

Painted by the well-known ‘ArtLords‘ the monumental painting remembers the 35 reporters killed in the country since 2001.

Part of activities marking the recent International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, the mural was commissioned by UNAMA.

The international day condemns attacks and violence against journalists, calling for states to do their utmost to ensure accountability for crimes against media.
