Campaign to prevent abuse and violence against children and youth

KABUL - An alliance of over a dozen Afghan civil society organizations launched a nationwide 19-day campaign last week to raise awareness against abuse and violence targeted at children and youth.

According to Abdul Sami Zhman, the Founder and General Director of Cooperation for Peace and Development (CPD) which is coordinating the campaign in Afghanistan, the campaign called “Caravan of Change” is going to focus on issues like children’s involvement in armed conflict, sexual abuse, child labour and harmful traditional practices, among others.

Organized in coordination with the global organizer called Women's World Summit Foundation (WWSF), the campaign continues from 1 to 19 November, according to a joint press release put out by the Afghan civil society organizations.
