HERAT - The Department of Agriculture in Herat announced that it has spent about US$12 million in 1392 solar year for completion various development projects.

The Director of the Department, Faqir Ahmad Biangar, while speaking at a ceremony of the farmers said these projects had resolved problems of thousands of Herat farmers.

He said that other achievements of the Department were formation of agricultural cooperatives, saffron growers, beekeepers, and Cocoon unions.

According to him the Department’s development budget had been spent completely.

Mr. Bianger also added that in the new solar year they would implement tens of agriculture projects to benefit more farmers.
