TAKHAR: 43 new school buildings to be constructed

TALOQAN - Forty-three new school buildings will be constructed in Taloqan, the provincial capital of Takhar Province.

The Deputy Director of Takhar Education Department, Sayed Qutbuddin, said that budget for 25 school buildings will be provided by the Ministry of Education and the rest will be funded by donors.

He said with the completion of these schools buildings the problem of lack of education facilities for over 12,000 students will be addressed.

According to Mr. Qutbuddin, under the strategy of the Ministry of Education, 40 to 50 school buildings should be constructed annually and within the next five years, all schools at the provincial level should have premises.

Currently over 580 schools are open for students in Takhar Province in which around 300,000 boys and girls are studying.
