The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 60/32 A and B of 30 November 2005, and to Security Council resolution 1662 (2006) of 23 March 2006, in which the Council decided to extend the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) until 23 March 2007. The present report reviews the activities of UNAMA since my previous report, dated 7 March 2006 (A/60/712-S/2006/145).
