PAKTYA: 4,547 members of armed groups join peace process

PAKTYA - Since the beginning of the Afghanistan Peace and Reconciliation Programme, a total of 4,547 opponents of Afghan Government have joined the peace process.

While narrating his report, Ajab Sangin of the Paktya Provincial Peace Council (PPC)  said the insurgents who have renounced violence and joined the peace and reintegration programme are the residents of remote and restive districts of the province.

Expressing his pleasure over the large number of integration of people with peace process, Abdul Jabar Naeemi, Provincial Governor, said all Afghans are brothers; they have to compromise and abandon armed operations against each other and their own government and live with love and sympathy.
