20 August 2009 - 4:04 pm: Early morning, voters were queuing up in front of polling centres, waiting to be allowed in to cast their votes.
In most centres, the polling staff voted first, before opening the polling stations and allowing the voters in.
20 August 2009 - 3:06 pm: Women have been voting at two female polling centres in Jalalabad – the Bibi Zainab High School and the Women’s Affairs Department.

KABUL - UN envoy Kai Eide has visited one of the polling stations in Kabul at the Zarghona High School in the Qala-i-Fatullah area of the city.
