KABUL - UNODC Executive Director Yury Fedotov visited a poppy field in Badakhshan province, north-eastern Afghanistan and saw firsthand, the eradication by the Counter Narcotics Police of Afghanistan and the hardships faced by poppy crop growers.

KABUL - Yury Fedotov, Executive Director of UNODC, together with Zarar Ahmad Moqbel Osmani, the Minister of Counter Narcotics of Afghanistan, launched a new UNODC Country Programme for Afghanistan (2012-2014) in Kabul today.
