KUNDUZ - A pistachio plantation project will start in Aliabad district of Kunduz. The project is part of the Afghanistan Peace and Reintegration Program (APRP) which provides employment opportunities to ex-inmates who reconciled to the peace process and the local population as well.

According to Kunduz Provincial Peace Committee officials, the project provides cash in exchange for work for around 1200 reconcilers and villagers. Each of them receives 400 AFN per day.

It is planned over 3.7 million pistachio saplings will be planted in the area of 400 acres of lands.
