KANDAHAR: Student develops solar fridge

KANDAHAR - A student of technical studies school in Kandahar developed a fridge which runs with solar energy.

A student of Grade 12, Bashir Ahmad, has also invented a bulb which can be turned on and off with the help of a remote control device.

Mr. Ahmad said that if the Government provided him with “means,” he would be able to produce more technological products running on solar energy.

He added that Kandahar students have talent but do not have means to harness their skills.

The head of the school said that other students have also invented other products which are “really spectacular.”

He said these products, around 32, will be put on a display in the capital, Kabul, at an exhibition.
