KANDAHAR - Five prison blocks that are reserved for juveniles were inaugurated at the Kandahar central prison. The blocks were opened yesterday by Kandahar's Deputy Governor, Abdul Qayoum Patyal.

“The new blocks for the juvenile rehabilitation center have all the facilities for the training and rehabilitation of the juvenile such as; modern rooms, halls for eating, cafeteria, bathrooms and other facilities”, said Mr Patyal.

The renovation was funded by the U.S Government. This is the first time that such a facility has been constructed for juveniles at Kandahar prison.
