20 Apr 2016 - NEW YORK - The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack in Kabul on 19 April centered on a National Directorate of Security (NDS) office in the Puli Mahmud Khan area, for which the Taliban has claimed responsibility. The attack resulted in at least 28 deaths as well as in more than 300 wounded persons.
19 Apr 2016 - KABUL - The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) condemns the Taliban attack today in Kabul that killed at least nine people, as well as injuring an estimated 300 others. Provisional information indicates that at least two of those killed and the vast majority of the injured are civilians, including seven children and seven women. The civilian casualty toll is expected to rise.
