Agriculture Goods Explore Good Market As Security Improved in Arghandab

KANDAHAR - residents of Arghandab district say that their agricultural products have markets since the security situation has improved. Residents say that in the past insurgents came to their orchards and fought there with Government forces. As a result pomegranates and grapes did not have a market because the businessmen could not take their products to markets.

“Local businessmen are now coming to Arghandab district to buy our products with good prices,” said a farmer.

In an interview on RTA Kandahar residents of Kohak village said that foreign forces have left Arghandab and now the ANSF are deployed which has helped them to sort out their problems easily. Foreign forces left Arghandab district when it was included in the third tranche of the transition process. Arghandab district is located in the North of Kandahar city. Almost 72 per cent of residents rely on agriculture for their living.
