KANDAHAR - The poppy eradication campaign continues in Kandahar and 110 hectares of land (550 jiribs) – with about 250 jiribs of land in Dasht area of Zhary district and around 300 jiribs land in Maiwand district) – cleared of poppy recently.
The poppy eradication campaign is currently being implemented in some districts of Kandahar province.
It was reported that the police have discovered and defused several IEDs during the eradication campaign.
