KABUL - The ninth Annual International Day of UN Peacekeepers is being commemorated today under the theme of 'Law. Order. Peace', focusing on efforts to strengthen rule of law. “In Afghanistan, peacekeeping day means prevention, facilitation, mitigation. We don’t have yet a peace to keep, frankly, but we can do a lot to facilitate future peace and reduce the pain of 30 years of war that have been affecting Afghan people." Staffan de Mistura, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Afghanistan.
