6 December 2013 - The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 67/16 and Security Council resolution 2096 (2013), in which the Council requested the Secretary-General to report on developments in Afghanistan every three months. The report provides an update on the activities of the United Nations in Afghanistan, including significant humanitarian, development and human rights efforts, since his previous report of 6 September 2013 (A/67/981–S/2013/535). 20 September 2013 - Although Afghanistan achieved progress in its ongoing political and security transitions and efforts are on track, “considerable challenges remain and the situation is volatile,” the United Nations Secretary-General’s top envoy in Afghanistan has told the Security Council.
