KHOST: New building for Juvenile Correction Centre inaugurated

KHOST - A newly constructed building for the Juvenile Correction Centre was inaugurated in Khost province on Sunday, an official said.

The building, constructed in seven months, cost 17 million Afs, provided by United States, Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi said.

The building has a dining hall and a training centre among other facilities. It will play an important role in reforming juvenile detainees, the governor hoped.

A dozen juvenile prisoners were previously kept in a rented house, but with the construction of the building, they will have access to better living and education conditions, said Provincial Director of Justice Department, Qanun Gul.
