PAKTIKA - At a ceremony on Tuesday, a newly constructed 20-bed hospital was opened in Sarobi district of Paktika province, officials said.

The one-storey hospital building, having surgery, maternity centre and other health facilities, was constructed at the total cost of US$ 300,000, provided by the Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), said Mohibullah Samim, the Paktika Provincial Governor.

The 20-bed hospital will address the local people’s health problems to a great extent and will provide better healthcare facilities, Mr Samim added.
