URUZGAN: Newly constructed airport terminal inaugurated

URUZGAN - A newly-built airport terminal, funded by the Netherlands, has been inaugurated in central Uruzgan province.

The terminal is built in accordance with international standards with a capacity to facilitate 900 passengers a day.

Addressing an inauguration ceremony, the Dutch Ambassador for Afghanistan, Han Peters, said his country would continue to stand by Afghanistan, especially Uruzgan, where the Netherlands has executed several other development projects.

Uruzgan Governor Amir Mohammad Akhundzada thanked the Dutch government and said the reconstruction of the terminal would help resolve many problems of the passengers at the airport.
