UNAMA Condemns Attacks on Afghan Institutions and Foreign Embassies

KABUL - The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) condemns the attacks launched yesterday by armed insurgents on Afghan institutions and foreign embassies in several provinces, including the capital Kabul. Print English

Those responsible for orchestrating these attacks in densely populated urban centres have also shown a callous disregard towards civilian casualties.

UNAMA acknowledges the efficient work of the Afghan National Security Forces in their response to the attacks and regrets all casualties suffered.

UNAMA calls on all parties to the conflict in Afghanistan to place civilian protection as their top priority and take all steps necessary to prevent civilian casualties.
