KABUL - The United Nations in Afghanistan is highlighting the importance of de-mining as part of the global activities for the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, which is observed each year on 4 April. UN Mine Action chief, Maxwell Kerley recently visited projects in Afghanistan supported by the United Nations.
