KABUL - UNAMA information for media representatives covering Afghanistan’s 2009 presidential and provincial council elections.

UNAMA is operating a special elections news service this week with articles, photos, statements, announcements, audio and other news materials in English, Pashto, and Dari available via the mission’s website www.unama.unmissions.org and at www.flickr.com/unama.

UNAMA’s elections photos service will include photos from around the country by a team of photographers being led by world-renowned photo-journalist Tim Page.

UNAMA’s elections news service will include media advisories, articles and radio reports, background materials, updates, plus news releases and statements as events unfold.

Interested media are advised to subscribe online and as soon as possible by visiting www.unama.unmissions.org and clicking on the ‘Subscribe to Latest News’ button on the lower right side of the home page.

UNAMA news products are available free of charge to media but remain UN property unless otherwise indicated.

They may not be used for advertising or marketing purposes or ways which are inconsistent with the organization’s mission.
