SAMANGAN - Afghan national disaster management authority – ANDMA’s provincial branch in Samangan distributed cash assistance to 194 families affected by the recent floods, said the agencies provincial chief Rajab Ali Yousufi.

He added that each family received an amount of AFN 10,000 (Equivalent to $ 200) from ANDMA’s cash support budget. The beneficiaries are from Hazrat Sultan, Roee Doab, Khuram Sarbagh, Firoznakhshir districts, and capital Aybak city of Samangan. Two remaining districts of Darisuf Bala and Darisuf Paeen will receive the same assistance in the coming days.

ANDMA figures indicate that at least 700 families were affected by the floods in different occasions this year and 194 houses were totally destroyed.
