TAKHAR - Residents of 10 villages in Qulbars and Chashmaee Shir areas of Taloqan, the provincial capital of Takhar Province, have been displaced due to rising waters caused by flashfloods, according to Government authorities.

According to Faiz Mohammad Tawheedi, the spokesperson of the Takhar Governor’s Office, aid and rescue workers have managed to relocate 25 families to safer sites and efforts are underway to control the flood.
