People condemn civilian casualties by road side bombs

KANDAHAR - The people of Kandahar, particularly Ulemas, have strongly condemned the fighting tactics of the insurgents, in which they use public properties to reach their goals and cause huge casualties to innocent civilians.

In the recent incidents, it has been observed that civilians get killed or injured in road side bomb explosions which are planted by unknown elements on the main highways between villages and districts on which local civilian people travel on daily basis.

"If you kill one innocent person, it is like killing the whole of humanity", said a Member of Kandahar Ullama Shura, while talking to a local TV.

Some other local people talking to Kandahar RTA requested from the sides involved in the conflict to avoid targeting civilians and embrace peace instead of war to put an end to the ongoing bloodshed.
