BALKH - On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, the Peace Day committee in Mazar-e-Sharif launched a round table in the Balkh governor’s office, organized in collaboration with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) Northern Region.

Balkh Governor Ata Mohammad Noor, Afghan Independent Human Rights Chief Sima Samar, representatives from Afghan National Army Corps 209 Shaheen, Pameer 303 northern regional police command, UNAMA NR Regional Head of Office Namik Heydarov attended the round table to respond to questions from the chairperson of the non-governmental organization, Cooperation Center for Afghanistan (CCA).

Various questions were asked about challenges towards peace and stability in the northern region and the country. The event was covered by regional media.
