Live and on-demand webcast of UN Security Council Briefing

NEW YORK - The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to convene 22 June in New York to discuss thelatest report of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the situation in Afghanistan. 

The meeting, scheduled to commence 10:00 New York (18:30 Kabul local), will be webcast live on UN WEB TV, and will be available as a downloadable video clip a few hours following completion of the meeting.

Nicholas Haysom, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Afghanistan, will brief the 15-member Council as part of the session.

Upon completion of the session, a scheduled media stakeout will be webcast live at the same location on UN WEB TV. That stakeout is also expected to be available as a downloadable video clip within a few hours of the live event.
