KUNDUZ: Infrastructure and natural resources meeting conducted

KUNDUZ - Head of Kunduz Public Works Department chaired the infrastructure and natural resources sector working group meeting on Wednesday.

Representatives of Kunduz National Environment Protection Agency (NEPA), Departments of Mines, Electricity, Water Supply,Agriculture,Irrigation and Livestock , Municipality,Aerology, UNAMA and Akha Khan Foundation were attended the meeting.

Representative of Kunduz Municipality briefed the participants on asphalting planned project of Kunduz city ring roads.

Head of Mines Department informed of increasing of his department revenue to 50 per cent in the past two years.
Head of NEPA requested the departments of Agriculture and Public Works to irrigate the planted trees on the way between Kunduz and Sher Khan Border for more greening of the environment.

Lack of drinking water, existing of low qualified and expired food and medicines in Kunduz markets and illegal collecting of gravel and sand from the river by some companies were other main issues discussed in the meeting.

The participants agreed that in coordination with the provincial office will find the solution ways for the discussed problems and issues.
