Government officials, WFP discuss food assistance to vulnerable families

KUNDUZ - In a meeting chaired by Kunduz Provincial Governor Mohammad Anwar Jegdalak, representatives of the Government line departments, Provincial Council and the UN World Food Programme (WFP) discussed the second phase of WFP food distribution plan to vulnerable families.

According to WFP representatives, vulnerable families will receive food for free in Kunduz city while the families in the districts will receive rations through the Food for Work scheme.

About 10,000 vulnerable families of natural disasters have already received WFP food assistance this year during the first phase of distribution.
