NILI - The process of voter registration officially started in Dai Kundi Province in presence of the Provincial Governor and other dignitaries.

According to election officials, the people of Dai Kundi province who have lost their voter cards, or who have turned 18 this year can get new voter cards through this process.

In his speech, the Governor of Dai Kundi province, Abdul Haq Shafaq, emphasized on transparency of the voter registration process for credibility of the upcoming elections.

The Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan (IEC) will open 12 voter registration sites in Nili, the capital of Dai Kundi province.
