BAMYAN: Civil society criticizes 'powerful people' for pressurizing judicial institutions

BAMYAN - Civil society activists have expressed concerns over increasing influence of "some powerful people" on judicial institutions.

Addressing a press conference in Bamyan, the activists said during the last one and half years at least 15 persons were killed and the perpetrators were either not arrested or released after some time because of the influence of the "powerful people" on judiciary in Bamyan.

“The perpetrators of murders and robberies must be brought to justice to prevent increasing crimes in Bamyan,” the activists stressed.
