Afghanistan—Cholera outbreak under control, say MoPH, WHO

31 August 2010 - A cholera outbreak that struck at least 130 people in the Nowa district of the province of Ghazni in Afghanistan’s central highlights is now under control. The outbreak started on 9 August, when a health NGO named Sanayee Development Organization (SDO) reported 60 cases, which were soon revealed to be cholera cases through laboratory confirmation. PDF
