NANGARHAR - A total of 18 projects related to income generation and local infrastructure development have been completed in Saracha village of Behsud district, Nangarhar province. The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) had provided US$ 1.4 million for the projects.

The projects include intakes, retaining walls, computer training centre, poultries, micro-hydro power stations providing electricity for 1,400 families, and other small projects.

The deputy head of Afghanistan’s UNHCR operations said that this is the first complex of its kind, implemented in Afghanistan. The Deputy Governor of Nangarhar thanked UNHCR for its support.
